baseball...maybe

It has been a while since  my last post.  Too many things to tell and catch up on, except for reviews of trashy romance novels.  One of my favorite things to do has taken a back seat to family and new writing on my behalf. At least I am writing about trashy romance stuff.  Have to fill the void somehow  So, we will just skip right on up to the what is going on today.

Today is one of the most exciting days of the year for our household.  Not only is Spring right around the corner with pretty flowers, vacations, loads of birthdays and my favorite thing, fishing, but today is the first day of baseball practice.

It is sort of bitter sweet since it is my little man's third and final year on the pitching machine.  He is excited but we can not let dad know.  During try outs my little monster took a pitch right on his fingers and somehow this has become his father's doing.  So, he tells his dad that he has grounded himself from ever playing baseball again.

It is kinda funny to watch if you really know the "behind the sences stuff".  One is sad while the other is mad and they both pretend their feelings are hurt and of course the kid is trying to get all kinds of new stuff out of dad.  Yeah, I married a sucker....a full blown lollipop.  Anyway, I try not to laugh in front of dad.

So here is to the best looking guy that has ever put on a uniform and glove. (You have grown so much since this old picture, but hey, it is my fav.)  Hope you have a fun practice tonight.  I will be watching from the side while I freeze and try to get in a little writing.  So glad that your dad is working so we will not have all the little girl drama going on!
